Mars travel. Micro-satellites. Sub-orbital space travel. New modes of air transportation. Drones. Use cases for increased autonomy are exploding. Technologies are near-term. Where are we heading? What startups, researchers, and executives are leading the charge?
MIT Startup Exchange (STEX) is convening a workshop on Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at One Main Street, Cambridge, MA, to discuss the latest advances in aerospace innovation and associated innovations. The workshop will focus on the perspective of the corporates, academics, VCs, and startups in the MIT ecosystem redefining the field today. The forum aims to cover innovation models, technologies, collaboration patterns, marketplaces, players, and partnerships – particularly across the three innovation foci emerging: space/satellites, autonomy, and next-generation air transportation.
The target audience for this workshop is the MIT innovation ecosystem, including faculty, students, startups, and ILP member companies. All are welcome, and attendance is free.
During the Lightning Talks, Spike Aerospace will present a five-minute overview of the S-512 Quiet Supersonic Jet the company is developing with a number of aerospace partners.
