Description
Spike Aerospace is seeking experienced powerplant engineers with knowledge of turbine engines and engine integration. These individuals will be working on the Spike S-512 Quiet Supersonic Jet with our senior aircraft design team, as well as aerodynamic, structural, and systems engineers.
Responsibilities
- Understand aircraft design, performance requirements, and safety considerations
- Develop, enhance, analyze, and improve designs to support engineering requirements
- Provide recommendation on engine modifications required to meet requirements, timeframe, costs
- Assist with tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
- Work with senior engineering team in support of aircraft development
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role providing powerplant analysis, selection, and engineering
- Experience with applicable software
- Ability to work independently and remotely without supervision
- Detailed-oriented qualities are a must
